That 70's look

When new stock comes in to us at Thunderegg its like Christmas and your birthday rolled into one. This results in seriously high levels of excitement, lots of dressing up fun and wondering how you lived before you owned any of these items. Yep, we really like new stock days here at Thunderegg.

Our latest box of happiness came from the lovely people over at Glamorous and has stolen our hearts with its 70's inspired apparel.

Now, we know, vintage can be daunting at the best of times and the 70's is a completely different kettle of fish for anyone but trust us when we say your grandma's carpet has never looked so chic!

With a mixture of rich browns, soft creams with pops of bright colours, in a range of seriously cool textures and patterns, neutrals have never looked so dreamy.

Here are some of our favourite pieces and how we've styled them.

We've styled the Brown Striped Shift Dress  (£24.50) with a cute little cropped roll neck jumper (£15.50), also available in purple in store, to create this cute ensemble and added the Little Moose Dangling Sloth Brooch (£24.95) and Collectif's Solene sunglasses in beige  (£10.00) to complete the look.

Glam is on top form with their bright colours and vivid patterns this season so pair them with something a little more subtle to make the most of these gorgeous prints. We've put this simple wear-with-absolutely-everything high neck black semi sheer top (£16.00) with the seriously cute floral corduroy button skirt and who can resist this cutie of a brooch? The Little Lockhart Brooch (£19.95) is also available to buy online

Purple Floral Corduroy Pinafore Dress (£24.00)

Or why not try a pinafore? We've been loving this version in the same fabric as the button down skirt.

Channel your inner flower child in the Red Cloud Print Shift Dress (£23.00) perfect with a pair of boots and a backpack for a shopping trip around town then slip on a pair of wedges and some chunky jewelry to head out for drinks with friends at night. What's not to love?

We absolutely adore the stunning print of this shirt, so much so we have it in a kimono and dress version too available in store! We're loving mixing prints and textures at the moment so we paired it here with the Tan Suedette Mini Skirt (£29.95) and accessorized with a new LYDC Envelope Clutch in Nude Pink (£14.50).
  .

If this trend seems daunting at first don't worry, ease into the trend with some accessories, we've used the new LYDC Vintage style satchel (£17.00) and thrown in some Little Moose for good measure! The Don't Be Square' Double Sided Triangle Necklace in Blue (£19.95) is also available online and in store in a variety of different colours.

See what we mean by the wear-with-absolutely-everything high neck black semi sheer top? We teamed it up with this gorgeous Black & Orange Floral Cropped Jumpsuit (£29.95) and the Erstwilder "Flying with Fifi" Necklace (£24.00) to take your wardrobe from summer to autumn with no fuss.
Sunglasses: Solene sunglasses in beige  (£10.00)
Bag:
Retro Tan Brown Faux Leather Mini (£14.50)

Bat wing? Check.Eye catching print? Check. Oversized Sunnies? Check. Seems like the summer nights checklist is sorted in one go with this little number. Head over to our website or bob in store to come and take a peek for yourself!

All of these outfits and more are available online at our website Thunderegg.co.uk  or in store at our Oldham Street and Afflecks stores. You can even shop this edit by follow this link to our Super Seventies Selection.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
